Wantage Town bid to complete the first leg of a double when they take on Brimscombe & Thrupp in the Uhlsport Hellenic League's Flying Press Floodlit Cup final at Shrivenham tonight (7.45).
Gary Ackling’s side have one eye on the Premier Division title, standing one point behind leaders Ardley United, but with a game in hand.
However, before then they are hoping to have one trophy in the bag as they bid to go one better than last year in the floodlit cup when they finished runners-up to Ardley.
Despite the competition not being a priority for Wantage, with fringe and squad players being given their opportunity, the club have shown their depth of squad by reaching the final, having won 3-0 at Flackwell Heath in the last four.
With Gareth Tucker cup-tied, Lewis Noice will be in goal.
Stuart Cattell and Tom Malton return after missing the Bank Holiday fixtures, but Steve Davis is unavailable.
