John Mills scored a hat-trick as Didcot Town beat Thatcham Town 4-0 in Calor League Division 1 South & West yesterday.

The Railwaymen raced into a 2-0 lead in the opening five minutes only for play to be held up for 20 minutes because of a violent thunderstorm.

Didcot took the lead on four minutes when Josh Dutton-Black headed home.

And 40 seconds later, Didcot doubled their advantage as Mills rounded keeper Aaron Bufton before firing in.

When the sides returned to the pitch following the rain break, Mills spurned a number of chances to add to their lead.

But on 64 minutes the top-scorer made it 3-0.

Mills completed his hat-trick in the closing stages to take his season’s tally to 17 as Didcot strolled home.

Mark Bell and Morgan Williams scored doubles as North Leigh won 5-0 at Bishops Cleeve.

The Millers, whose play-off hopes were ended by Clevedon on Saturday, took the lead on 12 minutes.

Jon Else’s cross found Bell who headed past Jamie Moore from close range.

A few minutes Williams headed home No 2 after Aaron Woodley’s chip hit a post.

After Adam McHugh in the Millers goal kept out a header from Cleeve’s Jamie Locke, Bell completed his brace with a superb free-kick.

The Milers kept up the pressure, but it wasn’t until the 88th minute that Williams made it 4-0 with his second.

He controlled a long ball out of defence and lobbed in.

Else completd their nap hand in injury time when the ball looped off his shin over the keeper into the back of the net.

Banbury United crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Stourbridge in the Premier Division.

Kayelden Brown (2), Leon Broadhurst, Junior Smikle and Ben Billingham did the damage.
