Oxford RL will not have to wait long to try and gain revenge following their heavy Tetley’s Challenge Cup defeat away to Hunslet Hawks last Sunday.

The teams meet again in the league this Sunday (3pm) when Oxford will be trying to make the most of home advantage.

It’s a tall order for Oxford to turn around a 68-6 defeat, but their coach Tony Benson remains hopeful.

“It’s up to us to continue where we left off in the second half last week and play to how I know we can,” he said.

“We have a big pitch down at Iffley Road and we need to move move their forwards around the park to tire them out.”

Oxford captain Alex Thompson said: “We have been working hard in training this week to correct the areas where we got caught out.

“I thought at times in the second half we got to them, and we need to do that from the off on Sunday and I am confident we will do that.”

Oxford are still missing Valu Bentley with an ankle injury, while Benson will give a late check to Sean Morris, who missed last week's defeat with a head injury.

Apart from that, Oxford will have a full squad to choose from.

Both teams have had mixed results in the league.

After impressively dispatching London Skolars 19-12 in the first week, Oxford went down 47-28 at Gateshead The visitors followed a 28-0 win away to Hemel Stags with a 28-26 defeat at home to York.
