DIANE Moore was the first lady home at the Carterton 10K.

The Headington Road Runners athlete crossed the line in 38mins 33secs to finish ninth overall.

Moore came in a full five minutes ahead of second-placed Bryher Bowness (unattached).

Another unattached runner, vet 40 athlete Karl Spielmann, won the men’s title in 34.10.

Former Magdalen College School pupil Joe Bowness, from Oxford, finished second in 34.55.

Kidlington duo Graham Hope (35.05) and Mark Dilks (36.15) were third and fourth respectively.

Witney Road Runners’ Tony Lock was the second vet 40 man home and fifth overall in 36.32.

Oxford City’s Dave Parsons was the leading vet 60 man, clocking 41.06 for 20th place.

WHITE Horse Harriers’ Tim Hughes finished third in the Goring 10K at the age of 61.

The vet 60 athlete crossed the line in 37mins 4secs, which places him third in the UK rankings for his age group.

At the other end of the age spectrum, Oxfordshire star Jess Gibbon, 17, from Henley, was second overall and first lady home in 36.49, with only winner, Newbury’s Steve Barnes (35.27) beating her.

Kay Walsha, from Dorchester was the third lady over the line.

Walsha, who was last year’s winner, finished 25th overall in 40.06.

ABINGDON’S Sarah Lackman was the second lady home at the Minchinhampton 10k.

Lackman finished 21st in 43mins 29secs.
