Oxford Hawks had goalkeeper Jess Hudson to thank as they ran out 2-0 winners away to lowly Barnes in their penultimate Investec Conference West fixture of the season.

The London side threw everything at Hawks early on, but a combination of some outstanding saves from Hudson and poor finishing ensured the scoreline remained goalless. Hawks eventually broke the deadlock when they won a corner after good work from Maisie Robertson, and Bex Oakes was on hand to volley them ahead.

Charlotte Crampton-Smith capitalised on a Barnes error and provided the cross for Katie Hewitt to make it 2-0 with a tap-in.

Barnes put the Hawks defence under pressure after the break, but could not find a way past the formidable Hudson.

Two more goals from Ella Weston and a second for Gordon wrapped it up, before Maidenhead added a late second.
