WOODSTOCK'S 7-1 victory over Virgin Active put them top of the Thames Valley Winter League Men’s Premier Division.

They could consolidate their position this week as second-placed Oxford Sports take on North Oxford, who are in third.

However, the title probably won’t be decided until Woodstock’s match against Oxford Sports on Saturday, March 29.

In Division 1, Oxford Sports B’s 8-0 win over Abingdon B confirms their promotion to the top flight.

North Oxford B’s 8-0 win at Brackley keeps them firmly in line for the second promotion spot, with third-placed Benson drawing 4-4 at Witney B.

Wychwood are promoted from Division 2, while Oxford Sports C are the Division 3 champions.

In Ladies’ Division 1, Oxford Sports won 6-2 at Benson to go top.

NORTH Oxford’s Arthur Manson defeated William Robinson (White Horse) 17-14 to win the Grade 5 Orange event at St Hugh’s School, Faringdon.
