Stand-in keeper Drew Fowler was the hero as he helped ten-man Headington Amateurs moved to third with a 3-1 victory at Finchampstead in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East.

The midfielder took over in goal for the final 65 minutes after regular No 1 Harry Jenkins had been sent off.

They went a goal down when Benji Cuff put through his own net and were reduced to ten men on 25 minutes when Harding was sent off for bringing down Harry Swabey outside the penalty area.

Fowler’s heroics paved the way for Hedger’s brace – the first a penalty – the second a cracking shot.

Tom Payne’s strike completed the turnaround for the ten-man visitors.

Henley Town beat Rayners Lane 2-1 at home, thanks to goals from Mitchell Cooper and Ben Clark. Chezney Cassell replied.
