PORTCULLIS B secured promotion from Men’s Division 4 of the Thames Valley Winter League with a 7-1 home win over third-placed Princes Risborough.
The Wallingford-based club go up with two matches to spare and look firm favourites to win the title.
Woodstock C won 8-0 at home to Abingdon E to make it seven wins in a row and look set to be promoted to Division 5.
Thame had an impressive 7-1 win at Hanney to stretch their lead at the top of Ladies’ Division 4 to a commnading 13 points.
This was partly due to second-placed Benson B’s 7-1 defeat at Oxford City.
New second favourites for promotion are Witney B, who enjoyed a 6-2 home win over Abingdon C.
Witney lie third place, three points behind Benson, but with three matches in hand.
Haddenham’s 4-4 draw at home to Colston slowed their progress at the top of Division 6, but they are still on course to go up.
