GEORGE Carder bagged a brace as Vale of White Horse Under 14s came from behind to beat Cheltenham 5-1 in the Vale Cup at Milton United.

Dan Hodkin put Cheltenham ahead after 10 minutes, but Vale, with Charlie Evans shining in midfield, equalised before half-time when Tom Morris’s corner led to an own goal.

Chris Gould converted Nico Cheesman’s cross to put Vale ahead in the second half, before Carder grabbed his first.

James Spruyt drilled home No 4 with a low shot, and Carder sealed victory with a dipping drive from 30 yards.
