DETA Hedman hopes to get some great backing when Oxfordshire face Yorkshire in the BDO Inter-Counties Championship this weekend.
Hedman will be playing for the first time since losing in the BDO World Champion-ship final at the weekend.
The Dark Destroyer went down 3-2 against Lancashire’s Lisa Ashton, and can’t wait to get back into action.
And the 54-year-old is call-ing on darts fans to turn out in force to support their county.
“I have been totally over-whelmed by all the support, especially from Oxfordshire,” she said. “I’m so sorry that I couldn’t deliver that trophy.
“It was as great to know (Oxfordshire assistant chairman) Graham Manning and guys from Bicester were there to cheer me on .
“I will be back next year and will give 110 per cent to fulfil mine, and seemingly most of Oxfordshire’s, dream.”
She added: “This weekend sees the visit of Yorkshire to Bicester.
“They are an amazing team full of internationals and we need your support.
“It’s only £4 admission, so please come along.
“We face a very uphill battle to stay in the Premier League – your support will give us that chance.”
