NINE-MAN Berinsfield pulled off a stunning win as they continued to defend their Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup trophy.

They ousted Midland Combination Res Division 1 side Banbury United Res 3-2 – coming from behind twice – after extra time.

Mike Hinkin netted the winner after Brian Rawlings and Chris Murphy had scored. Marcus Green and Kieren Westwood notched for Banbury in the third round tie.

However, the win was marred by red cards for Berinsfield’s Mark Ingram and Danny Brind on the hour.

Division 3’s Westminster scored twice in the last five minutes to win 3-2 at Oxfordshire Senior League outfit Yarnton with Sam Dallimore, Simon Joyce and Kieran Hughes all on the mark.

Dorchester ran out comfortable 7-1 winners at Oxford University Press Res from Oxfordshire Senior League Division 2.

A Josh Nicholls double and goals from Joe Dixon, Jamie Fleet, Aston Shaw, Josh McInnerney and Sam Bucket saw them home.

Clanfield 85 Res lost 1-0 to Watlington Town, Luke Yeulet with the only goal.

Nairne Paul Trophy

Two goals from Jamie Davies and strikes from Kyle Allsworth and Lloyd Callaghan gave Division 2 Saxton Rovers Res a 4-1 quarter final home win.

Visitors Dorchester Res, from Division 3, who replied through Tom Nicholls.

A Liam Ridley double and a Chris Benson strike gave Division 2’s Faringdon Town Res a 3-0 home win against Drayton Res, of Division 4.

Division 2 side Kintbury Rangers Res easily beat Division 4 strugglers Ardington & Lockinge Res 6-1 thanks to an Alistair Shambrook double and goals from Jake Shearsby, Neil Edwards, Dan Way and Luke Grant. Ollie Bailey hit the consolation for Ardington.

Andy Burton and Callum Bowler scored as Long Wittenham Athletic defeated East Hendred Res 2-0.

War Memorial Cup

East Hendred, from Division 2, made their league status count as they thumped unbeaten Division 3 hosts Burghclere 3-0.

Marc Reid got a double with Ben Hummel also on target in their second-round clash.

Division 5 leaders Uffington United lost 4-0 at home to Radley. Goals came from Luke Ambler, Brodie Edmonds, Chris Kerry and Kyle Kerby.

Wantage Town A scraped through 3-2 at home to fellow Division 2 rivals Marcham after the pair were locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes. Wes Coster and Dan Barnes scored for Marcham, but Ben Eltham, Scott Grove and Chris Roche saw Wantage prevail.

Doubles from Shane Blake and James Head gave holders Coleshill United a 4-2 home victory in the other all-Division 2 clash against Drayton, who scored through George Brewerton and Ollie Preest.

Benson Lions won their all-Division 3 battle at home to Stanford in the Vale 4-3 on penalties after the pair were locked at 2-2 after extra time.

Luke Willis’ two goals for the Lions were cancelled out by strikes from Brad Gill and Jamie Gregory for Stanford.

A penalty from Ryan Woods was in vain as hosts Blewbury lost 2-1 to Hungerford Town Swifts in the other all-Division 3 match.

Dan Chamberlain and Craig Sprules scored the goals for the visitors.

North Berks League Round-up

Ardington & Lockinge lead Division 1 by five points after a 3-2 home win over Crowmarsh Gifford.

James Fletcher and James Lee scored for the visitors, but Adam Hogan (2) and an Ollie O’Hanlon strike won it.

Joe Cheong, Andy Cooper and Lewis Monaghan netted for Long Wittenham Athletic in their 3-0 home win over Wallingford Town.

Faringdon Town won 5-1 at Harwell International with Derren Harrington, Liam Humphries, Paul Hulme, Robbie Harrington and Mike van Der Mortel all registering. Gareth Fenton responded.

Steventon won the Division 2 clash at home to Sutton Courtenay 5-2 thanks to a Shane Butlin brace and Andy Hall, Shaun Bray and Shane Preece-Tripp efforts.

Pawel Brodzinski and Tom Quinan netted for Sutton.

Benson AFC beat Faringdon Town A 2-0 with James Oliver and Ryan Harrhy scoring.

Grove Rangers crushed visitors Hagbourne United 5-0 courtesy of Steve Vaux (2), Dave Summersbee, Grant Summersbee and Joe Ledbury.

Joe Hill (2) and Sean Westons gave Kennington Athletic a 3-2 home win over Berinsfield Res. Brian Honer and Charlie Jamieson replied.

In Division 5, Gareth Cole hit three in a 7-3 home win for Didcot Eagles over Appleton Stars. Dan Tucker, Alex Rodman, Paul Sibley and Chris Dean also netted. Andrew Alder (2) and Nathan Keep replied.
