KEITH Hollis was on form as Headington Conservative Club from Section 2 recorded their first win of the season with a 3-2 success over visitors Masons B, writes PETE EWINS.
Hollis (8,720) was the hosts’ star man against the Section 1 side, whose top scorer was Sean Stratford (7,930).
Marlborough Club are only a point off the top following a 3-2 home win over Masons A.
Chris Bateman (10,430) impressed, while there were also wins for Adam Ingram (5,050) and Iain Major.
Maxi McDonnell (3,830) and Martyn Wood (4,610) picked up Masons’ points.
Premier leaders Kennington Club stay unbeaten after a 4-1 home win over West Oxford Democrats Club.
Ian Gordon (9,310) won the opening game and was supported by Pauline Withey (6,870), Mark Trafford (5,850) and Steven Sheard.
Billy Hill (8,720) saved the whitewash.
