CHIPPING Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon continued his rich vein of form with another double at Leicester today.

Having seen stable jockey Noel Fehily boot home two winners at Fontwell on Tuesday, the duo teamed up to great effect once more.

Theatrelands started the ball rolling with a facile success in the Yuletide Beginners’ Chase.

The 8-11 favourite was always in control of his two rivals, and when main threat Double Double unseated Jamie Moore four out, Fehily was able to coast home for an eased-down seven-length success over Minkie Moon.

Fehily was then seen at his best aboard Little Chip in the SIS Handicap Chase.

The six-year-old was neck-and-neck with Tony Dinozzo jumping the last, before a powerful drive from the jockey pushed Longsdon’s charge to a three-length success.

Balbriggan, sent off favourite for West Ilsley trainer Mick Channon, was third.

Longsdon has now recorded 54 victories this season, with Fehily now just 19 short of his century after his 81st success of the campaign.
