It has been a busy couple of weeks – but they have certainly been very rewarding.

I have done a few dinner talks and interviews, but the highlight has to be the Oxfordshire Sports Awards.

A couple of my friends and I rocked up to the awards last Friday, not expecting me to come away with the sportswomen of the year.

I had tough competition from Hannah England and Izzy Taylor, who had both enjoyed great years, so when I heard I had won it was very special.

It was a strong showing for motorsport, as Bradley Smith won sportsman of the year.

It was good to meet some new faces and catch up with old.

The atmosphere was great and I could not believe the amount of amazing talent that we have here in Oxfordshire.

I am so proud to come from and live in such a great county.

A huge thanks to everyone involved in putting on a brilliant event. If you get a chance to go to the awards next year, do.

The main motorsport news this week was the F1 2014 calendar has been confirmed.

The British Grand Prix will be on the weekend of July 6 next year, so make sure you buy your tickets.

I am still working hard to secure the sponsorship for 2014, keeping up the PR and trying to make the right contacts.

As well as this, I am keeping up my fitness training at Lotus F1, and playing hockey.

Plus, I have been helping my dad with his building jobs, which has included lots painting and helping laying carpets!!

One thing I would like to say is a huge thank-you to EVERYONE who has supported me this season, especially my sponsors - Silverstone-Hotels.com, Immun’Age, MyProteinUK, ACS Customs.

I have also received great support from the Women Sports Trust and the BRDC.

And to my family and friends and everybody else who has got behind me, thank you so much.
