Defences ruled the roost as Oxfordshire opened their campaign in the ESFA Girls’ Under 16 Inter County Competition with a 0-0 draw against Wiltshire at Swindon Supermarine.
Oxfordshire’s best chance fell to Libbie Allison, whose shot was turned over the bar by the Wiltshire goalkeeper.
Centre backs Brittany Egden and Charlie Deeley had superb games for Oxon, while keeper Kate Hunter handled the ball confidently.
OXFORDSHIRE boys take on the West Midlands in the ESFA Under 16 Inter County Trophy second round at Ardley United next Wednesday (7).
