8:00am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in Sport
A FIELD of 150 turned out for the Centenary Trophy at Frilford Heath.
The competition on the Red Course began in 2008, when the club celebrated 100 years since its formation.
Angela Reeves won the ladies’ section, finishing with 37 points, one ahead of Helen Neilson.
The men’s event was even tighter, with George Ayres pipping Jon Payne on count back after both finished with 38 points.
Elsewhere Frilford’s men beat Buckingham 3-0 to book a place in the semi-finals of the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes Knock-out Cup.
They will play Tadmarton Heath in the last four tie, played at Drayton Park.
