Oxford captain Ian Crosby is backing his side to finish the job when they take on Dinton in the last match of the season tomorrow.
Victory will secure the Division 2 West title and seal an instant return to the top flight.
Oxford had the chance to claim the crown last week, but went down by three wickets to rivals Aston Rowant, who are the only team who can catch them.
That match was decided by a sensational innings from Rowant captain Wesley Morrick, who took his team from 154-6 to 276-7 after blasting 107 not out from 86 deliveries.
But Crosby says that a repeat performance from his side should be enough to defeat Dinton and win the title.
“We’re all really looking forward to it,” he said.
“It’s a chance for us to put it right after last week, although that was just one of those innings that deserved to win a game.
“When we had them at 154-6 I was pretty confident, but fair play to Wes – it was a magnificent knock and you just have to give him credit.
“We knew that we weren’t through them until we got him, and that proved to be exactly the case.
“We did more right than we did wrong in that game though and if we keep those high standards, I would hope we would be OK.”
Stefan Van Dyk is unavailable, so Philip Evans comes in.
If Rowant lose at Cove, Oxford could claim the title without winning, but Crosby is thinking of nothing but victory.
“We expect Rowant to win, so we need to as well,” Crosby added.
“Dinton need three points to make sure they won’t go down so certainly won’t be doing us any favours.
Rowant, whose one change is the return of wicketkeeper Josh Smith, must beat relegation-threatened Cove to have any chance of pipping Oxford.
They are 13 points behind Oxford in second, despite having won a game more.
