CRICKET: Jeacock haul topples Town

GEORGE Jeacock starred with 7-25 as Bicester & North Oxford 2nd saw off Bletchley Town 2nd by 53 runs in Division 7.
Kevin Hicks (40), David Clark (34) and Stevyn Jackson (33) helped Bicester to 192-7.
Andrew King hit 42 in reply, but Jeacock’s haul meant Town fell for 139.
John Coles’s all-round efforts proved in vain as Aston Rowant 3rd went down by 97 runs to Didcot 2nd in Division 6.
Coles took 6-53 in Didcot’s 211 all out, which saw James Head hit 46 and Viraj Perera 39.
Patrick Boulton (3-22) helped dismiss Rowant for 118, despite Coles making 44 and Sam Shepherd 30.
Cumnor 3rd were given a big helping hand in their four-run victory over Didcot 3rd in Division 8.
Extras top-scored with 51 in their innings of 142, Carl Hancock taking 5-8.
Ian Curtis then claimed 3-24 in Didcot’s 138, which saw the final three wickets fall for no runs.
Kingston Bagpuize 2nd’s Dan Jacob (4-2) and James Kyberd (3-7) dismissed Thame Town 3rd for 67 to set up their side’s eight-wicket win.
