World champion Trina Gulliver and Clare Bywaters both rattled off maximum 180s as they helped Shears cruise to a 7-2 victory against Shelley A in the Premier Division.
The deadly duo, along with Sheila Douglas, got the Wantage outfit off to a great start as they strolled into a 3-0 lead.
A win from Sue Smith reduced the gap to 3-1, only for Angie Godfrey's success to restore the Shears' three-game cushion.
Shelley again pulled one back thanks to Jayne Slade's success in the last singles game.
Shears rounded off a fine performance with a 3-0 victory in the pairs.
Newly-promoted Morris Motors Social Club gained their first Section 1 victory when they entertained Quarry Gate C.
The home side cruised into a 4-0 lead, only for Pat Newman and Kim Reynolds to pull two games back for Quarry.
However, a 2-1 pairs win gave Motors a memorable memorable 3-0 success.
Grove House Social Club A fought for a 5-4 success against Donnington Community Centre B in Section 2.
Gladiators Social Club made it three victories out of three with a 7-2 victory against Vikings Social Club A.
Berinsfield Community Centre B crushed Fairview Inn 7-2 in Section 4.
Cowley Workers Club B made it three successive 6-3 victories, their latest success coming against Follybridge Inn.
