Clare Bywaters's incredible winning run of 188 matches - a sequence stretching back more than seven years - has been ended.
The Shears (Wantage) star lost out to Angela Pointin (Morris Motors Social Club) to bring to an end the longest winning sequence in the league's history.
Didcot-based Bywaters (pictured) started her amazing run in 1999.
After defeat to George Inn's Denise Byles (now Pape) on September 8, 1999, Bywaters has been untouchable.
Her career takes her all over the world, but she still finds time to turn out for the Shears every Wednesday night and has helped make her pub side become the most successful ever.
But in Bywaters's eighth year of constant success, Pointin recorded a memorable victory.
Bywaters was given a special trophy at the league's presentation night last November to honour the brilliant run.
