Banbury United went down to a 4-1 defeat at Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division leaders Leamington yesterday.

The Puritans went behind early on when Liam Daly headed past Warren Carter.

Walker then denied Kynan Issac from 12 yards.

However, Daly restored Leamington’s lead with a free-kick and although Walker made a good stop from Wayne Blossom, Matt Dodd and Stefan Moore goals saw the hosts ease in.

Banbury Utd: Carter, Cray, R Plowright (Martin 76), Ashton, Ryan, Polk, Blossom, Talabi (Otobo 84), Skendi, Isaac (Sharif 80), Hopkins. Subs not used: W Plowright, White.
