Banbury United went down to a 4-1 defeat at Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division leaders Leamington yesterday.
The Puritans went behind early on when Liam Daly headed past Warren Carter.
Just after the break, Banbury levelled, Michael Hopkins sending a 25-yard free-kick past Laurie Walker into the bottom corner.
Walker then denied Kynan Issac from 12 yards.
However, Daly restored Leamington’s lead with a free-kick and although Walker made a good stop from Wayne Blossom, Matt Dodd and Stefan Moore goals saw the hosts ease in.
