ICE HOCKEY: Stars bid to close in on title

OXFORD City Stars host Cardiff Devils tomorrow, hoping to take another step towards the English National League South Division 2 title.

A ten-game winning run has seen the Stars surge to the summit, and with just four games remaining, their fate is in their own hands.

Stars expect to be at full strength for the clash, which starts at 6.15, with the exception of Michael Raff and Jonathan Bayliss, who are expected to be selected for the under 18s in their match at Swindon.

Despite being at the wrong end of the table in eighth, Cardiff sit fourth in the form table and pulled of a huge shock last weekend when they won 8-3 at third-placed Wightlink Tigers.
