BANBURY Ladies A have secured promotion to Division 1 of the Thames Valley Winter League.
A 7-1 victory over Kings Sutton ensured first place and top-flight tennis.
Cholsey Ladies B beat Faringdon 8-0 to win promotion to Division 2 and all but endtheir opponents’ chance of going up.
- A 12-0 win from Our Ladies Abingdon girls over last year’s champions Marlborough College, earned them a place in the semi-finals of the regional division of the Aberdare Cup.
Henley College lost 10-2 to St Georges College, Weybridge, in the boys’ event.
This means the last surviving Oxon team are Radley College, who won a tie-break shoot-out to pip Magdalen College and set up a last-eight tie against Bedford School.
