ANGLING: Lure of the perch

THERE was a good turn-out of 21 for the Lure Anglers Society perch match on the Abingdon & Oxford Alliance stretch of the Thames at Eynsham, but only three anglers caught.

Organiser Roy Goddard (right) won with a splendid perch of 3lb 6.0oz caught on a small soft lure on the drop-shot method.

The next match takes place on June 16.
