BICESTER welterweight Daza Usher is confident he can successfully see off light-middleweight Kevin McCauley when they face each other in Swindon tonight.

Usher, pictured right, who has won his last four professional fights, was due to face Andrew Patterson, but the Irishman was forced to pull out with a back injury and was replaced by McCauley.

McCauley has fought several high-level boxers including, current Commonwealth champion Denton Vassell, former British champion Lee Purdy, and team GB Olympic representative Bradley Saunders.

“I am always confident I can beat whoever I am up against and I haven’t cut any corners in training on the lead up to this match,” said Usher.

“I have put in nine solid weeks of training and feel fitter and sharper than ever before.

“I am really looking forward to testing my skills against McCauley and I’m positive I can retain my unbeaten record. “I have put in some hard training sessions in the last six days.”
