Nikki Bayer won a gold medal at the Southern Regional Grades competition
NIKKI Bayer won gold in the Southern Regional Grades competition, which were held in Totton, Southampton.
The 15-year-old, from Wantage, was a class above her rivals as she stormed to first place in the Over 15 Grade D girls’ event with a huge score of 53.10pts.
More importantly, however, Bayer re-qualified to return to national level where she will continue to compete for the rest of the season, with the goal of reaching the national finals in July.
Bayer was one of 15 Flying Solo Trampoline Club members to compete in the event.
In the Over 15 Grade F girls’ competition, Korryn Pringle, from Wheatley, took second place with teammate Krissy Coulter, also from Wheatley, narrowly behind in third.
Just missing out on medals were Cholsey’s Emma Chenery, who finished fourth in Under 15 Grade D girls, and Ellie Galbraith, from Wantage, who was fourth in Under 15 Grade E girls.
Wantage’s Carys Nicholls, 17, was sixth of 26 in the Grade F event.
