11:30am
That's all we've got today but thanks for all your thoughts. If we're all this positive next Mon things will have started to get interesting
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:30am
Great question, Mark. Chris Wilder has probably been asking it too. Fortunately tomorrow night is another big game... #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:29am
@OxfordMailOUFC didn't Bristol city fans vote to get Bristol rovers a pink away kit?
— @JamesStansfield 04 March 2013
11:28am
@OxfordMailOUFC why do we only play well for big games (STFC, play-offs, last 2 games), or when the pressure is off?
— @mjgelder 04 March 2013
11:27am
@OxfordMailOUFC we have had new home and away kits for the last few years, considering the price would be nice to keep one for another year
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
Not sure about the Nike deal, but it's a valid point - often the clubs themselves don't have too much choice.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:27am
@OxfordMailOUFC any idea of if Nike are contracted for another season? If so they will just send a template to the club we won't decide
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
11:24am
It's a good idea, as long as the vote wasn't hijacked by supporters of rivals (vaguely remember Pompey fans flooding a Saints kit vote once)
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:22am
@OxfordMailOUFC brilliant Idea! Gets the fans more involved in the club! A sense of togetherness
— @benmul9 04 March 2013
11:22am
Hi Sam. Have seen a few clubs do something similar. Would you like a chance to have a say on the #oufc shirt?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:21am
Ah, sorry Kevin. Yes, Worley is out of contract at #oufc this summer.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:21am
@OxfordMailOUFC I meant Harry Worley. Is he out of contract?
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
11:19am
@OxfordMailOUFC look at the remaining games, if we keep consistency we have a chance of playoffs. We decide how our season ends #oufcbelieve
— @Purple_monk 04 March 2013
11:19am
Not sure about Mullins' contract situation. Could be wrong but I've got a feeling he has another season at Rotherham. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:19am
@OxfordMailOUFC is he out of contract at the end of the season??
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
11:17am
Yep, Mullins has two goals in his last four games. Quality player, hopefully he has a rare off day tomorrow night though. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:17am
@OxfordMailOUFC perfect centre back partner for wright such a shame we couldn't keep him. He scored for Rotherham at weekend
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
11:17am
@OxfordMailOUFC I think worley is equally as good as raynes if not better, dubes is a lot of experience but whing shouldn't be a CB
— @MylesTarry 04 March 2013
11:15am
While we're on centre backs, tomorrow sees the return of Johnny Mullins. Will he get a good reception from #oufc fans?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:13am
Seems fairly clear Worley is behind Wright, Raynes, Dubes and probably Whing in the pecking order. Few recent sub apps have been up front.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:13am
@OxfordMailOUFC what's with Worley? Totally out the picture now? #oufc
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
11:11am
@lane_theo @OxfordMailOUFC mainly down to jake wright our clean sheets he's immense this season. Dubes or Worley would do same as raynes
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
11:11am
Think Raynes has been playing well of late, confidence is a big factor. Having Dubes breathing down his neck also probably helps.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:11am
.@OxfordMailOUFC #oufc mathematically its not over, but a couple of other clubs need to throw it away. We don't have the consistency
— @Ben_Yates 04 March 2013
11:07am
@OxfordMailOUFC don't think people are changing their mind on Wilder but you have to give him credit for the last two games
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
11:06am
The run-in is good, but #oufc seem to prefer playing the top teams at the moment.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:06am
@OxfordMailOUFC on the whole we have a easier run in , compared to a lot of clubs !
— @lane_theo 04 March 2013
11:04am
@OxfordMailOUFC its been a very good week. Many people love wilder again. But its two games. Still don't like him
— @RyanDaviess15 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC the change of formation has worked wonders, credit to wilder for that.
— @heecerill 04 March 2013
11:03am
@oxfordmailoufc people shouldn't get carried away with the recent run of form and it is certainly not a vindication of Wilder
— @Wassup_Oxford 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC it's not that bad a run in, 33 points up for grabs. Other teams gonna pick up points though keeping us out of play offs
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
11:03am
Win tomorrow and #oufc would be 8th, but still five points off the top 7 with 10 games left.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
11:01am
@OxfordMailOUFC I think the game tomorrow is a vital game to see what happens at the end of the season !!
— @lane_theo 04 March 2013
11:00am
Easy to get carried away - it has been a great week but #oufc remain off the pace. What are their chances of a late surge do you think?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:57am
@OxfordMailOUFC recent results don't vindicate Wilder, they ask the question why are we not higher than 11th in a poor league 2 #oufc
— @DarrenThrussell 04 March 2013
10:56am
@OxfordMailOUFC loan out crocombe so he can get a whole season of games, sign McCormick I reckon. we don't know how Clarke will comeback
— @OufcGoody 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC I think he would command a bigger wage next season having proved himself here and having those 2 and Max would cost too much
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
10:56am
That would be very decent of you, Marc! On behalf of everyone connected with #oufc, many thanks.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:56am
@OxfordMailOUFC of the past three games, I've only been to York at home. Shall I stay at home tomorrow, for the greater good?
— @marcusssbatt 04 March 2013
10:54am
Lenagan was asked at the forum about keeping McCormick on, he said unlikely - Clarke No 1, Crocombe No 2 was the preferred set-up. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
But, McCormick's form may make #oufc think twice. If they do release him I think there will be plenty of clubs interested this summer.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:53am
@OxfordMailOUFC The andy wing change in the game , changed the game and made us the dominant in the midfield which won us the game !!
— @lane_theo 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC and about time he did, Chapman is half the player get was. Best move wilder has made!!
— @kevbrooks2 04 March 2013
10:53am
Wilder said he wanted to make a change, regardless of the timing. It was slightly odd just before ht, think he was making a point to AC.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:48am
@OxfordMailOUFC was a good decision although felt the timing was a weird one as the halftime whistle went pretty much straight after
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC why not wait 1 minute till half time to not embarrass him..?
— @GrantTaylor96 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC the whing change was a match deciding one, he was class when he came on.But I don't get why it couldn't be done at half time
— @OufcGoody 04 March 2013
10:48am
@OxfordMailOUFC when did Oxford re-sign Darren Purse? I thought his through ball for the 1st goal was exquisite.
— @__tom_green 04 March 2013
10:47am
#oufc have conceded once in their last 4 - and that was a thunderbolt. Whatever your views on McCormick, purely as a player he's done well.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:43am
Morning Kevin. Chapman was not injured, Wilder felt #oufc were getting over-run in the middle so put Whing on to steady the ship.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:43am
@OxfordMailOUFC let's be honest @Whingy2 changed the game when he come on! ALL WE WANT IS A TEAM WITH ANDY WHING
— @benmul9 04 March 2013
10:42am
@OxfordMailOUFC also how good was Whings pass for the goal! Thought he made a difference. Was Chappy injured do we know??
— @kevinspackman 04 March 2013
10:41am
Hi Tim, glad to see you a bit more upbeat this week! Easy to overlook Whing's impact, lovely assist & shored up the middle of the park.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:41am
@OxfordMailOUFC always been a confidence player the goal got him going at players. Whings return massive great ball for winner
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
10:41am
@OxfordMailOUFC delighted to be proved wrong in my prediction of 1 point from possible 9. They got physical for that win Saturday #oufc
— @tim_cowley 04 March 2013
10:38am
Smalley also looked a new player. Look at what he did after scoring on Sat, every time he got the ball he went past someone. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:38am
Hi guys, agree with the points about Potter. He looked refreshed against Gillingham and he really took the confidence from Tues into Sat.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 04 March 2013
10:38am
@OxfordMailOUFC Smalley and beano should be given a few starts together. They look good as a pair!
— @RyanDaviess15 04 March 2013
10:33am
@OxfordMailOUFC Potter starting to perform. Beano and Smalley look like a good forward pair. Wright top class
— @RyanDaviess15 04 March 2013
@OxfordMailOUFC finally a good game at the kassam fair play to wilder, brave team selections last week. Smalley looked like a new signing
— @OufcGoody 04 March 2013
10:32am
@OxfordMailOUFC only one thought after last week. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! COYY
— @taxiforjacko 04 March 2013
10:31am
Morning everyone, I trust you all had a good weekend?
This time last week most people (us included) feared the worst ahead of games against the top two, but United produced a couple of marvellous displays to claim six precious points.
