Ruairi Lynch has signed for Oxford
Oxford Rugby League have completed the signing of Ruairi Lynch, who has played for Oxford Cavaliers and Brookes Bulls.
Ruairi was one of the first members of the Oxford Brookes RL side which was founded by former Gateshead Thunder player Olly O’Meara.
Lynch, who plays in the back row, has represented Ireland students, Great Britain Pioneers and South East Students in his short rugby league career.
On being offered a contract Ruairi said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be asked to play for Oxford.
“I have played for every rugby league club in Oxford over the years and it’s great to see a professional outfit set up and built on all the graft and groundwork that people have put in.
“Playing in the Bulls first season and watching them grow and develop was a great experience and so will playing for Oxford RL.
“It’s great for my amateur clubs Brookes Bulls and Oxford Cavaliers that there is now a clear player pathway for talented players to move into professional rugby league without having to travel up north .”
