BDO Inter-Counties Championship

DETA Hedman, fresh from her success in the Scottish Open, will hope to help Oxfordshire back to winning ways when they entertain a star studded Cheshire in the Premier Division at Bicester Ex-Serviceman’s Club this weekend.

Hedman, who beat Fallon Sherrock 4-1 to win the Scottish title, could renew her rivalry with Russian Anastasia Dobromyslova, who defeated her in the 2012 World Championship final.

Oxfordshire, beaten by Yorkshire in their last outing, face a stiff task as Cheshire also boast Tony O’Shea, the three-time BDO World Championship runner-up.

Damien Kidd moves up to the men’s A team, while Keith Bedding, Roger Haines and Eamonn Lilly return to the men’s B side.

Belinda Grant is back in the ladies’ B team. Karen Conebeer and Mel Gillingham are named as reserves.

Matches start at 11am on Saturday and 10.30am on Sunday.
