Chinnor fly half Will Millett has been in impressive form
CHINNOR head coach Jason Bowers says his team will not roll over when they host title-chasing Redruth in National 2 South tomorrow.
The renowned Cornish side have shot up the the table in recent months and could go top if they win their two games in hand.
But Chinnor have a proud home record this season and Bowers is relishing what will be a real test.
“If we play well and perform well, you never know what will happen,” said Bowers.
“We are a tough side to beat at home and will not roll over against anyone.”
Bowers added: “We stayed with them pretty much until the last ten minutes down there,” said Bowers, whose men lost 44-14 in Cornwall.
“We are at home this time and are playing well. The only time we have been beaten at home was by Hartpury College and that was quite close.”
Back-row forwards Evan Sawyer and Alex Waddingham return to the Chinnor squad, while 18-year-old fly half Will Millett will look to build on an impressive display against Canterbury.
Bowers said that hosting Redruth would be a great occasion for his club.
“I am really looking forward to this match,” he said.
“They are an established National League side with a great pedigree and the famous Hellfire Corner.
“They are the sort of games that we have earned by getting promoted.”
“It will be fantastic to welcome them to Kingsey Road.
