Are we likely to find anyone as good as Leven on loan at this stage? I doubt it. We should be getting a right-sided equivalent of Rigg. Parker's cameo off the bench (not sure if he could do it over 90 minutes) showed a glimpse of what it might be like if we had someone strong, pacy and direct on that side. He put in the best cross of the game for the chance Constable hit over the bar.

Here are the thoughts of United boss Chris Wilder and full back Damian Batt on Saturday's game:

10:32am

Good morning everyone and welcome to our weekly debate on all-thing s Oxford United.

It’s not been a great week – defeat at home to Bristol Rovers came on the back of news about Peter Leven’s knee operation and gloomy financial figures.

But there’s little time for the side to lick their wounds – they’re back at the Kassam tomorrow night for a game against Fleetwood.

There’s two ways for you to join in, either send us a tweet @oxfordmailoufc or post a comment in the box below.

In reply to Adam Browns "anyone out". Who would want any of them, most squads are in there stride and settled now. In reply to Dan Church I disagree with you as I said before the season started I thought it was a very weak squad and wouldn't withstand the season although I must admit I didn't think we would be scoring so few but as I said its a weak squad and therefore it shouldn't have come as a shock, we need new players in and quick.
