GOLF: Kieffer and Sterne top list

Germany’s Maximilian Kieffer and South African Richard Sterne shot eight-under-par 63s to share the first-round lead in the Joburg Open on the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington’s West Course.

Frilford Heath’s Eddie Pepperell’s two-over 74 on the East Course left him in a 16-way tie for 162nd place.
