BURFORD'S head greenkeeper, Barry Holt, has retired after more than 30 years of service to the club.

He joined in 1981 and became head greenkeeper in 1989.

Holt, a single-figure player who represented the club in the Oxfordshire Foursomes League, was presented with a photographic montage of some of the holes on the course, by club captain Peter Steele.
