London Welsh 14, Newport Gwent Dragons 42
A LATE capitulation saw London Welsh suffer a heavy defeat in their final LV= Cup clash at Oxford's Kassam Stadium today.
It looked good for the hosts when they led 14-9 after replacement Ed Williamson's try on 54 minutes.
But the Dragons finished very strongly as Welsh lost their way in the final ten minutes.
Welsh led 9-6 at the break, with three penalties from fly half Ryan Davis negating two from his opposite number Steffan Jones.
The Exiles could add just one try from Williamson, while Jones landed five more penalties.
He also converted tries from full back Hallam Amos, No 8 Ieuan Jones and flanker Jevon Groves to seal a big win for the Dragons.
