GOLF: Pepperell shines in the desert

FRILFORD Heath’s Eddie Pepperell shot a second-round 70 to easily make the halfway cut in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
The 22-year-old, who dropped a shot at his last hole, had a two round score of six-under-par, which put him in joint 26th position.
Pepperell starts today’s third round six shots behind the leader Richard Sterne, who added a 70 to his amazing first-round 62.
