TARA Kafke made a strong start to 2013 with a second-placed finish in the London Under 20 and Senior Indoor Games at Lee Valley.

The 23-year-old Radley sprinter was runner-up in the top ladies’ 200m race, clocking 25.52secs.

Kafke also finished sixth in the leading 400m event, recording a time of 56.77.

Clubmate Jordan Dorrian, 18, clocked successive personal bests of 7.16 and 7.13 in his under 20 60m races.

Radley’s Joe Finch, 16, also set pbs in the 60m with 7.57 and the triple jump with a leap of 12.07m, the latter placing him sixth.

Another Radley athlete, 16-year-old Hayley Perrin, came fifth in the under 20 long jump with 4.85m and sixth in the high jump with 1.50m.
