RACING: Rainbow in gold strike

Compton Rainbow recorded his second consecutive Kempton win for Hans Adielsson’s Kingston Lisle yard, near Wantage, yesterday.

The four-year-old, who made all the running when getting off the mark in a mile maiden stakes earlier this month under Ryan Tate, followed up in a seven-furlong handicap.

The apprentice this time held up the 5-2 shot before hitting the front in the final furlong, and going on to beat Russian Ice by a length and a quarter.
