Fourteen anglers braved the snow to fish North Oxford’s latest club match on the Oxford Canal at Frenchay Road.
Match secretary John Coleman led them home with 6lb 1oz of perch on chopped worm.
Using the same tactics, Jason Bean had 4.5.0 of perch for second place, followed by Bob Yeomans, making his club debut. He had a good skimmer and a perch for 3.6.0.
Marston AC FTB’s Northway Cup match was postponed last Sunday and they will try again tomorrow.
They had to break the ice at Oakfield last week.
However, weights were surprisingly good as veteran Dave Stratful caught carp to 8lb to win on Wednesday with 56.8.8. Mark Pollard caught six carp to 6lb to take Saturday’s honours with 34.15.0.
