The Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League annual meeting at High Wycombe tonight has been postponed due to the bad weather.

It has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 31 at the same venue (7.30pm).

Clubs will vote on two proposals from Letchworth, seconded by Welwyn Garden City.

These involve cutting out lunches, and introducing 50 overs-a-side games for half of the season alongside the current time matches, which are for a minimum of 120 overs in Division 1 and 110 overs in Divisions 2 West and East.

The outcome could have wide-ranging implications for the league with the Hertfordshire League clubs threatening a breakaway if they don’t receive backing.

And that could have a knock-on effect for the Cherwell League and Morrant Thames Valley League.
