OXFORD RL have added to their ranks by signing Coventry centre Andy McGrory and Oxford Brookes University utility back Michael Crabtree.
McGrory has represented Ireland, Ireland A and Warwickshire Rugby Union, while Crabtree, who can play either on the wing or at full back, has previously played for Esher RFC and Elmbridge Eagles RL.
Coach Tony Benson said: “Andy is a big, strong ball carrier who will be a fantastic addition to the squad for this season.
“Michael really impressed me at the trials, he is someone who has a lot of pace and is very strong.” Crabtree added: “I am very excited to be a part of the journey.
“It’s my first professional contract, and I am delighted to be given a chance by Tony and Tevita (Vaikona).
“I am going to play the best that I can so I can be a regular in the team.”
The double signing takes Benson’s number of recruits up to seven ahead of the 2013 season following Dave Ellison, Valu Bentley, Andrew Hoggins, Olive Johnson and Alex Thompson.
