London Welsh 13, Grenoble 27
LONDON Welsh were effectively knocked out of the Amlin Challenge Cup after today's Pool 5 defeat at Oxford's Kassam Stadium.
The Exiles are ten points behind leaders Stade Francais with two matches to play, but this competition was never a priority for them.
Two tries from hooker Laurent Bouchet gave Grenoble impetus in the first half.
Wing Florian Ninard and replacement prop Lotu Taukeiaho also went over for the visitors, with scrum half Valentin Courrent kicking two conversions and a penalty.
Replacement flanker Mike Denbee scored late on for Welsh, while fly half Alex Davies kicked eight points.
