FROZEN pitches at Oxford United’s training ground saw the players go through an alternative session in the gym yesterday.
The forecast does not appear to put Saturday’s fixture at the Kassam Stadium at risk, but plummeting temperatures on Wednesday night prompted a change of plan for training.
It is unlikely to cause much disruption, as a full session was unlikely after the long trip to Plymouth on Tuesday night.
U’s boss Chris Wilder said: “We’ll prepare as thoroughly as possible, we wouldn’t have done a lot because of the travelling we’ve done and the games we’ve had, so we wouldn’t have done a normal Thursday anyway.”
