Harriet Batstone and Alexander Pennington were the leading Oxfordshire performers in the junior races at Culham Park.

Radley’s Batsone won the under 13 girls’ race in 7mins 31secs, beating Oxford City’s Chloe Ridewood (7.35) into second.

Abingdon Amblers’ Pennington took the under 11 boys’ honours in 3.26, ahead of Radley’s Henry Insley (3.28) and Banbury’s Skip Snelson (3.29).

Bicester’s Maisie Silvester underlined her improving form with a second-place finish in the under 11 girls’ race, clocking 3.54.

Radley’s Rachel Burton was third in 3.56.

Abingdon’s Nick Wiltshire (6.50) was second in the under 13 boys’ race, edging out Radley’s Jack Mitchell by one second.

Oxford City’s Matthieu Marshall (12.38) was runner-up in the under 15/17 boys’ race, with White Horse Harrier Thomas Kelly (12.41) third. Abingdon’s Fiona Bunn clocked 12.52 for third under 15 in the girls’ combined race, while Oxford City’s Beth Hawtin (12.59) was first under 17.
