Oxford Stadium, already reeling from news of their closure on December 29, have been dealt another blow with their remaining eight BAGS meetings being withdrawn.
The decision will mean a major loss of income for the trainers and staff.
Galliard Homes and the Sandy Lane stadium owners the Greyhound Racing Association plan to demolish the site and build 225 homes.
GRA managing director Clive Feltham was unavailable for comment, but Stadium general manager, Maureen Ridley, said: “I had a call on the way to work this morning and was told by Mr Feltham that BAGS had pulled the plug on the rest of their meetings remaining this year.”
So last Sunday’s meeting was the last BAGS to be held at the Stadium.
