FOOTBALL: Hurley quits as Clanfield boss
12:00pm Friday 23rd November 2012 in Sport
Chris Hurley has resigned as manager of Division 1 West club Clanfield after a poor run of results.
Chairman John Osborne said: “Chris and his team have worked very hard to consolidate what we had.
“I don’t think any of us expected to be looking over our shoulders at possible relegation at this stage of the season.”
Skipper Jamie Butt and former joint bosses Peter Osborne and Martin Staddon will take charge for tomorrow’s game against Brimscombe & Thrupp. Kidlington will be without striker Sam Fincher when they entertain Oxford City Nomads in the Premier Division tomorrow.
Danny Mason and Jordan Tabor face late fitness tests, though Ben Weedon and Aaron Posey.
Headington Amateurs will be at full-strength when they host Chalfont Wasps in Division 1 East.
Tomorrow’s squads Kidlington (v Oxford City Nomads, away): from Dixon, Pike, Castle, B Weedon, Mason, Rice, Philpott, Posey, Tabor, Parker, Geary, Dunmall, Curtin, Johnson, Folan, Austin, Harwood.
Headington Amateurs (v Chalfont Wasps, home): from Jenkins, Morbey, Nkwanyuo, Zaja, Williams, B Cuff, Hill, Jacob, Hedger, Payne, L Cuff, Green, Lester, Barrett.
