Oxford City manager Mike Ford is hoping that extra coaching for his strikers will help them find the net on a regular basis,.

Ford says his side need to score more goals to cap some encouraging displays when they host Bishop’s Stortford in tomorrow’s first round.

“We are creating chances, which is a positive, but we need to kill games off,” said Ford.

“I think that is down to a number of things.

“Maybe we are not getting the rub of the green, maybe it’s a lack of composure.

“We are aware of it and my assistant Stuart Peace has been doing strikers’ training.”

Striker Felipe Barcelos should start after impressing in the 1-1 draw at Corby on Saturday.

“Felipe did really well and was a threat with Jamie Cook,” added Ford.

City add ex-Oxford United midfielder Josh Mulvany after he returned from America.

Steve Basham and Chris Willmott return, while Liam Malone faces a late test.
