Ryan Clarke is backing Oxford United to continue their excellent record against Barnet at Underhill on Tuesday.

The U’s have never lost to the north Londoners, winning six and drawing two of their eight meetings.

It included a 2-0 away victory in the FA Cup earlier this month, when striker James Constable continued his own personal hot streak against the Bees, which has seen him score five goals in as many games.

Clarke wants more of the same as the U’s attempt to get Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Chesterfield out of their systems.

He said: “We know what Barnet are all about. They’ve been a bit up and down as well, but it’s a place where we tend to do quite well.

“The good thing for us is we’ve got a game quickly (after Chesterfield) to put it right.

“We’re looking forward to doing that and proving it to ourselves.”

He added: “There’s no cliques in the team, we’re all together and want to win.

“Probably the reason why we’re finding it more difficult to take is because we know we have the group to do it.”
