Oxford City manager Mike Ford felt his side they were unlucky not to return home from Corby with three points, writes Matthew Bruce Ford blamed a lack of composure in front of goal for City’s missed chances early in the game.

“I thought in the first half we were outstanding,” said Ford.

“We’ve created lots of chances. We look like we’ve got goals in us, but we’ve not got ourselves 2-0 up.

“We’ve been better than the other team and haven’t quite got our rewards, but if we keep playing like that I’ve got no issues.”

City’s form has faltered in the last month, but Ford said he is not concerned by recent results.

He said: “In our last five games, we’ve produced four very good performances and only picked up three points, but eventually it will come because performances dictate everything.

“We’ve taken four points off Corby and if we can do that with a number of teams we’ll be safe.”
