A place in the FA Youth Cup third round is the prize for in-form Oxford United Under 18s on Wednesday night as they host Plymouth Argyle.
They go into the tie on a ten-game winning streak which includes a 4-2 victory against Yeovil Town in the first round a fortnight ago.
A home game against Barnsley in the third round awaits the winners.
Manager Chris Allen said: “The lads are so excited, and so they should be.
“They’re on a great run, scoring a hatful and hopefully that will continue against Plymouth.”
James Roberts, who has 14 goals in six games, is available again after serving a suspension last weekend.
The U’s youngsters did not miss their star striker, as Callum O’Dowda hit a hat-trick in a 7-2 victory at home to Hereford United.
Plymouth are expected to provide a far stiffer test, though, after the Pilgrims won the league meeting between the sides in Devon 3-0 back in August.
The tie (7.30) was due to be played at Thame United, but a waterlogged pitch forced the U’s to switch it to Didcot Town’s Loop Meadow.
Admission is £5 adults, £3 concessions.
