HOCKEY: Oxford veterans in last eight

Oxford’s over 35s team are through to the quarter-finals of EHB Masters Cup after a penalty shoot-out win at Northampton Saints.

Paula Burgess, Lyn Cockshott and Sarah Dawson scored in a 3-3 draw in normal time, and goalkeeper Linda Billington emerged the hero in the shoot-out by saving all but one of Northampton’s flicks.
